Most notable is their Curry Beast Sauce placing first in the Specialty Sauce Category at The American Royal “World Series of Barbque Sauce” Contest in Kansas City, Missouri.
On May 6, a group of over 50 Certified Barbecue Judges assembled at the American Royal to participate in a blind tasting of 388 barbecue sauce entries. The assembled judges evaluated barbecue sauces submitted from 35 states and 8 countries including Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, England, Finland, New Zealand, Norway, and the United States.
“The American Royal World Series of Barbecue Sauce Contest is the largest sauce contest in the world and we continue to see the event attract more international participants each year,” said Lynn Parman, president and CEO of the American Royal.
Last year, the Spicy Beast Sauce placed 6th at the American Royal in the Hot Tomato Category. These Bar-B-Que Sauces have also won Professional and People’s Choice Awards in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Massachusetts, and Illinois.
Bar-B-Que Beast sauces can be found in many local stores, The Butcher Shoppe in Chambersburg, Country Corner Market in Waynesboro, Hoffman's Quality Meats, Penn Ave. Meats, and Hollsinger’s Meats in Hagerstown to name a few. Area restaurants, such as Liberty Mountain’s “Eagle and Owl”, 997 Café, B&T’s Unique Bar & Grill and Warehouse Taproom in Hagerstown incorporate the Beast into their menus.
